The sixth grade. That's when we met. Everyone asks and is shocked when they hear that we have been friends for most of our lives. We weren't dating that whole time, for goodness sake, the opposite sex was still kinda gross at that age, but still, we formed a friendship that is over two decades old and still going strong.
Individually, James and Meridith see images very differently and therefore have very different styles. Together, they are a one of a kind team whose images compliment each other and tell a timeless, beautiful and inspired wedding day story. Always shooting together, they began their wedding business in 2000 and recently moved to Raleigh to be more central for their wedding travels all over NC and the South East.
"James is an amazing photograher. He's been shooting since we were in high school and his first photography award was a PTA art contest. His winning photo still hangs at his high school in Wilmington. Throughout our 13 years of marriage I've seen him evolve into a digital photography and lighting expert. His 10 years working in a commercial studio gave him the opportunity to photograph everything from elaborate sets, apparel, celebrities and more types of products than I could list.
His passion has always been photographing people and beautiful places. Weddings were the perfect fit for his love of shooting new and different situations with the world as his studio. Often, people ask me how we can stand it working together every day side by side, but we've always been a great team and we enjoy the process of working together to create life-long memories for others. When he's not shooting, you can find James exploring the world with our son Will, reading biographies of fascinating people and sometimes, sitting in reflection at his favorite spot in Charleston.
